Yes, we offer a free 15 day trial where you can try out the entire Kindel LMS with no restrictions.

Kindel itself is a custom theme with an LMS system built in. It is fully customizable via the child theme so you can rebrand it however you like and extend its capabilities with your own custom code and templates. This is what makes Kindel different from other LMS solutions such as Learndash which is a plug-in as opposed to a full fledged LMS application which is Kindel.

Kindel allows you to create as many courses, schedules, lesson plans and assessments as you see fit and you can enroll as many students as you desire. The only limitation is your hosting plan as some plans, such as shared hosting plans, have limited hard drive space and bandwidth. We recommend using a VPS instead which offers faster performance, a higher amount of bandwidth and larger disk storage. While Kindel does run on shared hosting accounts you may encounter performance issues depending on the number of users accessing the application and the amount of data being saved on your server.

Kindel does not take any portion of your profits. Your payment gateway, depending on which one you choose, will take a small processing fee which can be anywhere from 2 to 5%.

Kindel comes pre-installed with Woopayments which supports different payment processors such as Stripe, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Each of these payment processors accepts VISA and other major credit card brands.

Yes, Kindel is sold only as an annual license. Your license will automatically renew unless you cancel. You can cancel your renewal at any time from your account dashboard.

Kindel can run on just about any hosting plan provided by most hosting companies. However, we do recommend a VPS plan for higher performance if you plan on having a large install base of educators and learners.

While Kindel does provide student performance reports, which are also printable, the feature to create actual report cards is currently not available - but this is a feature we plan on bringing to the platform sometime in the near future as an add-on module.

Note taking is currently not available in Kindel but we do plan on adding this feature in the near future as an add-on module.

Kindel currently has a full reporting system built system so educators can view student progress across different courses along with attendance records. Students can also track there course progress through performance reports.

Kindel currently does not support selling bulk seats to a group of students. We may implement this feature in a future update if there is enough demand for it from customers.

Not at the moment but this is a feature we are considering for a future update. Currently Kindel supports shareable content packages which can be used to export/import courses and assessments. You can also create your own shareable content packages as long as you are familiar with the XML markup language.

Shareable content packages are similar to SCORM packages but do not require any complicated third-party API's to interpret the data - making the data structure extremely easy to work with for educators and/or developers.

No. Kindel was designed as a full service solution so you don't have to deal with hiring a developer to manage theme integration, third-party plugins or custom coding. With Kindel, you simply install the theme, import the demo content and your LMS is up and running - its that simple. However, Kindel also comes bundled with a child theme so if you wish to hire a developer to rebrand the LMS or extend its functionality then that is also an option. Keep in mind though that Kindel does not offer support on any custom functionality that you or your developer integrate for your own purposes.

Kindel can run on any hosting plan but we highly recommend using  a VPS plan as opposed to a shared hosting plan. A VPS server offers much more stability, performance and scalability which is beneficial if you plan on hosting a large user base of students.

Some VPS providers which we recommend are inMotion Hosting and GreenGeeks which offer affordable monthly VPS plans. Kindel is not associated with either of these hosting companies nor are we a part of their affiliate marketing programs.
